Acme Sprockets

I just moved this website from my old hosting provider to a new one and very pleasantly surprised by the speed and ease of the domain transfer. Getting the site running was easy too: created the DB at the new provider, imported the content, scp'd the files, and edited two configuration files.

I've had various sites up on Internet since last century (heh), but they have been geared more toward my family. Now I'm getting around to posting assorted bits of information, potentially useful scripts and code, etc.

About the name... I was up late one night and on a whim checked to see if AcmeSprockets.com was available. Besides seeming cool, it recalled two popular Saturday-morning cartoons when I was a child: The Warner Brothers Wile E. Coyote cartoons, and Spacely Sprockets from The Jetsons.
